Altgeld Bitcoin Reserve (ABR) The Altgeld Bitcoin Reserve is the first community-operated Bitcoin treasury in the United States—founded in Altgeld Gardens, Chicago. Structured as a Wyoming DAO LLC, ABR uses a secure 2-of-3 multisig cold storage vault to hold a growing Bitcoin reserve that belongs to the people—not banks, corporations, or politicians.

Our mission is to build long-term financial sovereignty for underserved Black communities through Bitcoin savings, education, and decentralized governance. Backed by a 21-year plan, ABR protects value while offering youth mentorship, financial literacy, peace incentives, and future-forward support systems like rent relief, homeownership, and local entrepreneurship—all funded without ever selling our Bitcoin.
