Vanguard, one of the world’s largest asset managers with over $12 trillion in global assets under management, has increased its exposure to Strategy (MSTR), the leading Bitcoin treasury company, through its Total Stock Market Index Fund (VTSAX).

Recent disclosures show that Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund added approximately $50 million worth of Strategy shares. Following the purchase, its total holdings in the company now stand at $993.5 million.

Strategy currently owns 843,775 Bitcoin on its balance sheet. The company has established itself as the premier corporate Bitcoin treasury vehicle, with its accumulation strategy delivering leveraged exposure to Bitcoin’s price performance. The stock has become a notable holding across broad market indexes, attracting growing institutional interest from both active and passive vehicles.

VTSAX, which tracks the CRSP US Total Market Index — a benchmark designed to represent the entire investable U.S. equity market across large-, mid-, small-, and micro-cap stocks — now carries a meaningful position in Strategy. This addition reflects ongoing index rebalancing as Bitcoin treasury companies gain weight in the overall market.

The filing underscores continued mainstream institutional adoption of Bitcoin treasury companies. As Strategy maintains its large Bitcoin holdings, further adjustments by large asset managers like Vanguard are expected in upcoming quarters.
