The Smarter Web Company PLC (SWC.L) announced today the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Albert Soleiman.

In an official board change filing, the company stated that Soleiman has resigned with immediate effect as a director and will leave his CFO position following an orderly handover. The announcement thanks Soleiman for his contributions and wishes him success in future endeavors. No reason for the departure was provided.

Mario Visconti, who previously served as CFO and is currently Financial Controller and Head of Projects, has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer. The company noted that Visconti has detailed knowledge of its financial and operational structure. The Board stated it intends to appoint a permanent Chief Financial Officer in due course and will provide a further update when that process is complete.

Soleiman’s tenure overlapped with the company’s adoption of Bitcoin as a treasury asset. The Smarter Web Company began accepting Bitcoin payments in 2022 and established a formal Bitcoin Treasury Policy in 2025. As of the most recent updates in March 2026, the company holds 2,695 BTC in its treasury reserves and surplus cash, acquired at an average price of approximately £82,553 per BTC (around $110,531), for a total investment exceeding £222 million.

This executive change arrives amid rising corporate adoption of Bitcoin treasuries worldwide. The Smarter Web Company’s strategy continues to reflect a conviction in Bitcoin’s long-term role as a scarce digital asset.
