Strategy Inc. has continued its aggressive Bitcoin treasury expansion with a major acquisition detailed in its latest SEC filing. The company purchased 13,927 BTC during the period from April 6 to April 12, 2026, for an aggregate purchase price of $1.00 billion, funded entirely through proceeds from its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC) issuances via at-the-market (ATM) sales. No common equity was used for this buy.
This latest addition brings Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 780,897 BTC, further solidifying its position as the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin.
According to our STRC BTC Accumulation Tracker, we had predicted Strategy would acquire 12,897 BTC from STRC activity. The actual figure came in 8% higher, demonstrating that our estimation proved modestly bearish. This marks a notable improvement over other public estimations, which projected just 9,153 BTC and missed the mark by 52%. Our recent refinements to the estimator— including the shift to one-second bars for finer granularity in tracking ATM-eligible volume at or above the $100 par value, combined with a more calibrated 70% capture ratio—have clearly enhanced accuracy and reduced overestimation on volatile trading days.

This week’s purchase brings Strategy’s year-to-date Bitcoin acquisitions to over 100,000 BTC, more than double the Bitcoin mined globally during the same period. The addition underscores the effectiveness of STRC as a dedicated funding channel, allowing the company to raise capital through its preferred stock program whenever shares trade at or above par and deploy proceeds directly into Bitcoin without diluting common shareholders in this instance.
Strategy maintains its position as the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder and accumulator. By leveraging STRC’s yield-driven structure alongside flexible capital-raising tactics, the firm continues to adapt to market conditions while steadily increasing its Bitcoin exposure over the long term. The full impact on total holdings and blended cost basis will be reflected once the latest cumulative figures are updated from the filing.
Our STRC tracker provides real-time visibility into these dynamics by monitoring eligible trading volume, applying conservative capture assumptions, netting out commissions, and converting proceeds into estimated BTC at prevailing prices. As always, dashboard numbers transition to official SEC-reported figures once filings become available.
The company shows no signs of slowing its accumulation-oriented strategy.
