Debt (USD)

Debt is the total amount of money (measured in U.S. dollars) that a company owes to lenders. This figure includes all types of borrowings: bonds, loans, lines of credit, and convertible notes. It excludes the company’s regular, everyday bills (like accounts payable) and focuses only on formal borrowing agreements.

Formula: Debt USD = All bonds + loans + convertible notes (and similar instruments) expressed in U.S. dollars.

Example: If a bitcoin treasury company has issued $500 million in corporate bonds, has a $200 million term loan with a bank, and $50 million in convertible notes, their Debt USD is: $500M + $200M + $50M = $750M Debt USD
