BTC in Treasury
BTC in Treasury is the total number of bitcoins a company holds on its balance sheet, across all storage methods (including company-controlled cold wallets, exchange accounts, custodial services, or other secure setups). It is not limited to coins “on premise”; it includes every satoshi (the smallest bitcoin unit; 1 BTC = 100,000,000 sats) the company can prove it owns and control.
Formula: BTC in Treasury = Sum of all BTC controlled by the company
For example, if a company has 1,200 BTC in a cold wallet and a further 300 BTC held with a reputable custodian, their total "BTC in Treasury" is 1,500 BTC.
